Third draft FSC® Colombi Forest Management Standard This standard is the result of the transfer of the Standards for Voluntary Forest Certification of Forest Plantations in Colombia (2003) to the new FSC® V5 Principles and Criteria, including the respective analysis for Plantations, Natural Forest and Guadua in a single Standard.a
DOCUMENT STRUCTURE
Colombia's FSC® National Forest Management Standard document is composed of a preface where a brief description of FSC® and the GDE standards development group is made; the preamble describing the purpose, scope and background of the development of the standard; then the version, context, references and notes on the interpretation of the indicators; next the National Principles, Criteria and Indicators and finally the annexes from A to M and the glossary of terms.

CONSULTATION PERIOD
From December 12, 2019 to January 12, 2020.
PURPOSE OF THE CONSULTATION
Review Colombia's new National Forest Management Standard FSC ® to demonstrate that it effectively continues to guarantee that forest operations under this FSC ® seal have, recognize and promote the environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable management of their forests.
Guarantee that all those interested in the application of this standard have the opportunity to comment formally on the development of the transfer and the content of the standard.
That all individuals and / or organizations that reflect the wide variety of interest groups affected by the standard under development, validate the incorporation into the standard of the new FSC® V5 Principles and Criteria.
