INVASIVE VEGETATION CONTROL IN NATURAL ECOSYSTEMS:
In the tropical natural ecosystems of Colombia, the presence of plant species (of flora) that have easily adapted to the different environmental conditions of our country is increasing, invading large extensions of natural areas and exercising competition for food, light and water with native flora, in some cases causing death.
I mean
From The Foundation through volunteer actions, we promote environmental training days related to environmental protection and flora preservation, as well as intervention through manual control of invasive species that cause significant environmental damage in our native ecosystems. .
COLLECTION OF NON-DEGRADABLE PLASTIC AND REGULAR WASTE FROM WATER SOURCES:
The headwaters of the hydrographic accounts (water sources) and the river channels are places that have become for years the sinks (sanitary landfills) of different types of waste that are properly disposed of by the people who inhabit and surround them, these wastes finally without control they are going to be deposited to the seas and oceans causing great damages to the fluvial and marine ecosystems.
From La Fundación, through volunteer actions, we promote environmental awareness days regarding the proper disposal of waste, as well as the intervention through the manual collection of all waste that is found in the most critical sites identified by their ecosystem fragility, contribution to the landscape or environmental services
PLANTING OF
NATIVE TREES:
From The Foundation with the support of allies, through volunteer actions, we promote environmental awareness days regarding the importance of trees in natural and urban ecosystems. We carry out intervention days by planting and subsequently maintaining native trees in urban or peri-urban areas, where areas with deficiencies in tree cover have been identified.
